    Why is ChancelSure® Insurance a good solution?

    ChancelSure® Insurance Policies

    Both our Residential and Commercial ChancelSure® insurance products have been specifically designed to work in conjunction with ChancelCheck® and are fully compliant with both Law Society and lender requirements.

    Where a property has been identified as being within a parish or tithe district that retains the right to charge for repairs to the church chancel, ChancelSure® Insurance offers a cost effective solution protecting the owner/occupier, mortgagee, lessees and successors if required.

    Residential ChancelSure® Insurance

    The residential ChancelSure® Insurance range provides cover up to £3m for chancel repair liability claims, legal costs and diminution in value, for properties up to 10 acres, from as little as £45.88 (inc all taxes and charges) for £100,000 cover.

    • Insured:
    • The person who purchases policy (non-successor policies) or Successor policies
    • Premium:
    • From £45.88 (inc IPT Admin fee and VAT)
    • Period of Insurance:
    • 25 years, 35 years, or in Perpetuity
    • Underwriters:
    • Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) Plc


    Commercial ChancelSure® Insurance

    The commercial ChancelSure® Insurance range of chancel repair liability insurance provides cover from £250,000 to £3m for chancel repair liability claims and legal costs for 25 years for up to 3 acres.

    • Insured:
    • The person who purchases policy (non-successor policies) or Successor policies
    • Premium:
    • From £135.88 (inc IPT, Admin fee and VAT)
    • Period of Insurance:
    • 25 years
    • Underwriters:
    • Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) Plc
